Perhaps the lens design can over-correct for chroma thus causing chroma 
to appear in the center rather than the edges?  Then my next question is 
whether the chroma in the center of the 90mm image is due to the lens, 
the sensor or the combination.  Have you ever seen it on film with the 90mm?
