As mentioned before, you will need a tripod because hand holding the 300 gets
tiring fast.
The 300 may not be a long enough tele length. You should be within at least
say, 200 feet to fill the frame with a person. If you're further away, it ain't
long enough.
The 500 gives those horrible out-of-focus area "donuts", which I hate.
