I use the 2x-A with the 300/45 as well. There's an example of a shot I took
with this combination at Garth's Unofficial Olympus Web Photo Gallery at

Not a great scan, but I think the 2x-A/300/4.5 pair did pretty good,
considering it was shot through a chain-link fence.
