A friend kept asking about getting her a deal on a digital. She wanted a
big zoom range (digital zoom doesn't count) so I steered her towards the
C-740 / 750 with a 10X optical zoom. Well, she had to go to best buy cus
it was "more important how it felt in her hand". RIGHT. Yeah, feels good
in your hand but you don't have the features you wanted OR the picture
quality. NEVERMIND!

belated 50th Birthday present my wife now has a Canon G5. I tried to
persuade her to have an Olympus Digi or even a mint Contax 167...but her
mind was made up.

Bloody hell it is complex. What ever happened to film speed, aperture, and
shutter speed, or in the case of the OM2N aperture and press the button? I
know it is a learning curve but it reinforces my belief that Olympus got it
right 30 yrs ago.
