I don't know what kind of pictures you are shooting but I usually don't like
portraits with ceiling-reflected lighting. You may have problems with
shadowing where you don't want it. Multiple lights or diffused lighting from
a lower source may work better. Skin color, and the amount of skin showing,
are also factors for lighting consideration. If these are nudes that becomes
really important. /jim

I am going to take some pics of my secretaries..

Om1n + a Sunpak BZ2600 flash..

I'll have the flash mounted off camera triggered by X-sync.

This will be indoors and my flash will be probably the main source of
light.

The room is fairly small, white ceilings and floors and walls.

If I angle the flash say 45 to 65 degrees up, how do I know how many
f-stops to compensate for as far as loss of light?
