please write me (offlist if you wish) if you are currently--or have in the
past--using fuji developing service to get pictureCDs from their current
frontier line of minilabs. i seem to have an issue with scans (1800*1200
roughly, jpg, used to be 3-4mb, now about half that) not displaying smooth
tonal range at times. i've shot the same film (400 nph), and while a few
images (mostly ones that are overexposed by a good stop) come out fairly
creamy, the rest are somewhat pointilistic in nature, or a bit grainy. not
sure if i'm not doing something right, but sure would be nice to compare
notes and see how others are faring. really thinking i should get a film
scanner at this point..
