Actually, it's more sinister than that! They want the final image
interpolated up to a minimum of 48MB and 'suggest' that the minimum raw
TIFF file from digital cameras should be no less than 17 MB.

As I indicated, I've used Geniune Fractals to upsize some of my E-10 images
to 48 MB and they have accepted them. However, if I'm going to shell out
the money for a new system, I need to know that the agencies I use will
accept those images!

I've also been unable to find a camera shop locally that carries the E-1
and so I've been unable to actually hold one and try it out. I believe
someone else on the list here mentioned that he had gone all over the Tampa
Bay area without being able to locate one.

BTW - I've been very pleased with my E-10 and it has more than paid for
itself in the 16 months or so that I've owned it.

Seems a strange way to specify it. If they want a to end up with an
uncompressed 24-bit TIFF file of 17MB then they want a sensor resolution
of 17/3 = 5.67 megapixels. Don't know why they don't just say that. I
should think 5 megapixels from a 3:4 aspect ratio sensor is close enough.
