Hi Dan:
I have a mint OM 1 and a very good 35-70/3.6 and would sell them but not
that cheap. The 35-70 is a great lens but it won't replace your 24/2.8 nor a
fast 50 either, and it gives up almost 2 stops on an 85/2.0. Variability of
focal length comes at the expense of speed, size and weight, a good addition
to faster lighter primes but I wouldn't try to replace them with it.
