While we're bragging on our sound gear, particularly the speakers
(shouldn't they be called "singers," or maybe "players"?) all I
will say regarding this, without reference to any of the front-end
gear, is this:
Bi-wired (Cardis), bi-amped (McCormack) Vandersteen 3a's in a
24x22 ft. room with a 12-ft. cathedral ceiling sloping upwards
toward the "hot seat," with each speaker sitting 6 ft. from the
nearest wall, a placement determined with sound meter and
computer, but mostly by ear.
Nothing is newer than 8 years old (except the DVD/SACD player),
and I don't expect there to be anything new anytime soon unless
something blows up.
