in agreement with the approach I suggested previously. I don't suggest
anyone use this one.
When told by security that they won't do a hand search and that their x-ray
machine wouldn't hurt your film, one could say something like, "I know you have
been told that your xray will not noticeably damage my film and I know that
x-ray does cause some damage, the question may be how much. If you asked me
for a glass of water, how much of my urine would be an acceptable level in your
glass of water. Great, that is the same level of x-ray contamination I find
acceptable with my film."
Do not try this at home or at the airport. The best you could hope for is a
very pissed off security guard who will try to fry your film. The worst case
might be a hole different issue.
