I want to unsubscribe. I have tried repeatedly to unsubscribe. I
have been unable to unsubscribe. I want to pull the plug, turn it
off, go away, but I'm still connected.
I have, to the best of my limited ability, followed the
directions. It used to be that if you even used the
word "unsubscribe" in any form in a List message, you got
UNSUBSCRIBED unceremoniously. Now, try as I might, I can't
UNSUBSCRIBE. I have failed at UNSUBSCRIBING. I want to be an
UNSUBSCRIBER. I am attempting to practice UNSUBSCRIBATION in
hopes of achieving a state of UNSUBSCRIPTION.
Since the server is in France, should I SURRENDER instead?
(Just kidding. Don't get le bloomers in le knot.)
I sent an e-mail to olympus-request@xxxxxxxxxx with the
subject "unsubscribe," and nothing happened. I sent one to
olympus-request@xxxxxxxxxx?, including the question mark, which I
couldn't understand why it was there anyway, and nothing
happened. I give up.
This e-mail address (hiwayman@xxxxxxxxx) is going bye-bye Monday
anyway, so I suppose it really doesn't matter. I just thought
unsubscribing before then would be the proper thing to do.
Sorry to disappoint some of you, but this doesn't mean I'm going
away. I am now, and have been for some weeks, in anticipation of
the demise of the aforementioned e-mail account, subscribed at
another address. Henceforth, at least until I find an e-mail
provider I like better, the off-list death threats, comments on my
ancestry, assumed sexual proclivities, perceived political
ideology, religious persuasion, or lack thereof, etc., should be
sent to this address: hiwayman@xxxxxxx.
