That's how I use the Oly 1.4X-A on my Sigma 400/5.6 APO - it works very, very
well. Try it. You can't focus at infinity, of course.

I'm pretty sure it won't physically mount to the 200/4 due to a light
baffle in the way. I don't know if removal of this baffle would let you
attach it or not.
