They're all great lenses, of course, but I picked these three because they
make a great kit - fast, high quality, easy to carry, plus I have them all. I
suppose the 50/2 would be a better choice than the 1.4, providing better macro
capabilities and standardizing on a 55mm filter thread, but I don't have that
one. Yet.
