Ah, now that is clear.

Yes, I guess that would work - but does that not simply mean that for a
given scene (and f/stop), the flash would be held open for 1/10000 rather
than 1/20000. It's not clear what you would gain, execpt for the choice of a
different f/stop (though that might be useful itself).

Um
Alright.
The T32 Skip sold me has a calc panel in feet. Lets go metric since it's
BETTER.
Full TTL Auto on the T32 is the same as Manual GN32, since the calc panel is
just flipped. I've noticed that if you flip to Manual side and set it to
GN16, the flash intensity is less. If you set the T32 to Manual Gn16 and the
2n to auto, can you still shoot in TTL automatic flash mode? (Hence, same as
full ttl auto/manual gn32, but in manual gn16/lower intensity)

Which brings me back to my previous post.

%snip%

Anyhow, that means you can shoot in Manual 54 set to auto on camera, and
you'll have TTL flash at a lower intensity?

%/snip%

Correct?

It doesn't! Flipping the panel simply forces the switch fully to the left,
and shows a big visual reminder for you of what you have done (and the
reminder applies to cameras other than the OM-2, of course).

Argh
You are all making me that OM4Ti call out my name louder.
Bad zuikoholics!

Anyhow, how does the T32 differentiate from the calculator panel flipped to
Manual GN 32 and Full TTL auto? I can't see anything.

Hi Dan:

Here is the link to download the T32 instruction manual

http://www.mir.com.my/rb/photography/hardwares/classics/olympusom1n2/sha
red/flash/t32flash/index1.htm

It is worth a read.

The T32 "provides two Manual and three normal Auto settings in addition to
TTL Auto Flash" (from the mir site)
http://www.mir.com.my/rb/photography/hardwares/classics/olympusom1n2/sha
red/zuiko/index.htm

Manual 1 Guide # 32 - full pop
Manual 2 Guide # 16 - half power

Normal Auto 1, 2, & 3 uses the flashes sensor and gives you 3 aperture
choices.

TTL Thru-the-lens (guide plate reversed) gives you off the film exposure
reading, the camera controls the flash.

Light up your life.

Gord
