Hi Richard,
Thanks. Date was probably unreadable due to weathering and lichen. Most of
the churches are 13th century, old legible headstones are most commonly 19th
and 18th century. I think the earliest I ever saw was 1726.
Not sure if there was anything readable on the one in the shot, I took it in
the summer because of the shadow of the cross formed by the handrail up
some steps. Someone suggested it would make a good Easter shot so I saved
it. I often do that walk so next time I am there I will see if I can date
it. Thanks for looking.
