Hi Tris:

You got that right-bracketting is infinitely cheaper. Nothing to carry
around , buy batteries for, forget to bring, read wrong, or wonder why you
bought it after the novelty wears off.

The meter in my OM 4 and Ti has never been a problem, it is one of the
things that attracted me to OM initially, that plus the size, flash
capability, and (thankfully proven true over time) the many fine lenses.
There are times when the metering was not right, but frankly, those were
cases of 'pilot error', as my feel improves so do the exposures. Multi-spot
metering in the camera through the lens put the first nail in the coffin for
my Sekonic meter, TTL flash control put the final nail in.

As a layman, the most accurate light meter reading is almost irrelevant by
itself, you must know your film, weigh the colours, the ambient light,
reflections, overall range, and in the end make a choice as to what will
make the shot for you. Given all that I would rather have two shots to throw
away and a keeper than spend time calculating the result blindly.

Gord
