I suspect someone is phishing for personal information or perhaps trying to
entice you to buy some porn. I haven't as yet received one of these but
would be highly suspicious if I did. Way back in '92 when I first went
online with AOL there were continual e mails coming in purporting to be
from AOL, and Steve Case no less, telling me that there was a problem and
that I needed to click here and re-input my information. I've been leery
from the git go.
The first item # referenced, 2477961255 is 9 digits; eBay item numbers are
10 digits. I doubt seriously if an e mail originating via the eBay system
would drop a digit. Of course, the fact that you're not selling anything
is a huge red flag.

When I clicked the link in the second item I was directed IP 68.108.54.201
but couldn't connect due to timing out. Whenever I click legit links to
eBay the message bar in my browser always indicates that I'm connecting to
http://cgi.ebay.com/ etc, etc. Also, the link has a 9 digit item #.

It's too bad we don't have the ability to reply by sending back a several
thousand volt electrical burst that would go to the originator.
