You are right. The difference is writing a 5 MP file and an 8 MP file.
Askey gives 8 seconds for the G5 and 13 seconds for the c-8080. Most of
the reviews indicate the Oly has a slow Raw/tiff write speed even
compared to other 8MP cameras..
