On number 5, it's one walkway.  The camera tripod was ON the walkway, so you 
see it twice as it receeds away in each direction, 180 degrees apart.

I like both the sunsets you mention, for different reasons.  Number 2 needs a 
bit more darkness in the shadows, but I do like it too.
