I have an OM-2 that has had the shoe busted off by something, doubt it was a
drop as there is no other damage. The only problem is the screw got sheared
off in the hot shoe hole. Ouch! Not to much to change it out. The bad bit
was the scrapes on the top deck, in fact it almost looks like someone glued
the hot shoe on and then pried it off... Even more ouch!

Good point, however if there is a bad impact..wouldnt the body break to?
