There are some very good harness type carriers made for binoculars if you
want the camera on your chest. One is called the Bino-Buddie and another is
the Slide and Flex Bino-System. Many sporting good stores sell these in the
US. The load is placed on the shoulders, rather than the neck and the camera
is held down when running or leaning forward. /jmac

I'm using a 2" wide neoprene strap to support the not inconsiderable
bulk of the 10D with BigEd and almost any lens - like a very long,
narrow mouse mat. Quite pleasant and it has snap catches for removal.
Also has the name of the store that gave it to me for free printed on
it. I saw a much spiffier version of the same idea by LowePro the other
day for around US$25 - can't remember the name of the product (probably
something like "Explorer Microcell Neoprene Imaging Device Support
System DeLuxe!) nor did I see it unpacked but it's definitely what you
need - something broad, soft and a bit stretchy (rather like me, I
suppose).

(it's the morals that are stretchy, OK?!)
