I didn't mention the serious problem of not having manual aperture
stopdown (i.e., DOF preview). I once stated on this list that I found
that feature to be useless. Silly I was. I use that all the time with
the 90/2. I wish it conveyed more information, but I've learned to get
a vast amount more than I would ever have believed since owning the
90/2.
Ironically, the experience has helped me when using a camera like the
IS-50 for close focusing. I think I have a pretty good instinct for the
range of critical focus at F8 and F16 (but I'd better reserve judgment
until I see the film when it comes back).

let's do it! Can I bring the boy and his OM-1 along? It's a double
