John,

The other frustrating thing is that it only does it intermittently and of late 
its been pretty good when I try firing of shots with no film.  Also if I switch 
the camera to B when its buzzing it only sometimes stops it.

Also some of my photos are exhibiting a strange "eye" phenomena where part of 
the image is slightly under-exposed and the area around it is over-exposed in 
relation to the other part of the photo.  The first was apparent just as the 
camera started buzzing as the shutter was tripped.

Don't know if these are related but I'm guessing that from your vast experience 
that you couldn't find a fix.  Have you heard this buzzing on other non 4 
cameras?

I've heard that buzzing sound too and it is weird.  Since there is no
solenoid , as such, in the 4, it is quite perplexing what could make that
sound.
