I added a card with USB2 and firewire ports to this old computer. Less
than $20. It works fine with a card reader but you may have trouble
trying to run anything that draws much power from the card. I think this
is a motherboard limitation of the total power supply to the PCI bus so
YMMV. Seems more like magic than science to me :>) I don't think a newer
motherboard will have this problem.
