Now, now, no PS magic, no digital fakery in the presence of the insects.
I'm not good enough to fake the shadows under them without making them
look like cutouts, at least not yet. ;-)
If you look here, you will also see the yellowish one peeking over the
top of the upper left petal

flew away (without any nursery rhyme encouragement) and the other
crawled around back. I thought I might catch it silhouetted up on the
edge of the petal, but wasn't quick enough.
I did only say no PS magic in their presence. I did indeed select them
and adjust their brightness relative to their surroundings and shadows.
Here are my first shot, "Omigod, that's way underexposed.", second,
"Don't overexpose those white petals and lose the detail in them. Oops,
still a little under, but I caught the bugs, Wow!" and the adjusted shot
