Well, I'm just back from Scotland, and the listserver unset vacation mode
automatically yesterday morning (as requested), so I'm back online.
Donald MacDonald and I got together at the Falkirk Wheel last Thursday, shot
the Wheel and the breeze, then took the meeting "in camera" to a local pub
for discussion of life, politics, cycling, hills, and other subjects. A very
successful event. Sadly, we forgot to take pictures of each other for the
benefit of the other list members.
I'll file a quick Scotland trip report once I've got a wheelbarrow to take
my film downtown for processing. But here's a flash report: Glasgow Airport
*will not* do a manual check for film - it goes through x-ray. Given that I
had my wife and daughter in tow and was helping my parents through, there
was no opportunity to pursue this with management. It looked as though they
were not equipped to do swab tests, so this might have been fruitless
anyway.
