I do use Silverfast when scanning. These scans were small files reduced
from larger scans. The larger scans were optimized for printing on my Epson
1280, but I uploaded the files from my laptop and it appears that the color
correction for my desktop monitor used for printing is quite different from
my laptop screen. On my laptop, and maybe your computer, the photos look a
little overexposed (. For now, I limp along with my old scanner (great for
5x7s, OK for 8x10) and Photoshop Elements. If I could stop buying OM
equipment, I could get Photoshop CS and a 5400 or Nikon V scanner.
