Cities, states, objects, holidays and or a name from the opposite sex.
Anything is fair game to curse your child with. It is not very common,
but enough so that people do not comment on it much. Western states are
more popular than eastern ones except for those that are already common
names like Virginia or Carolina. Reno and Phoenix are popping up for
boys and girls. I know of at least two women named Christmas. I think
Moon Station Zappa still raises an eyebrow but does not get the amused
sympathy of a Forrest Glenn Wood. Movie star names or their role names
are much more popular.
