They are fine once you've completed the obligatory body building course.
Even then, however, it is still advisable to bring along a sturdy companion
if intending to actually get out of the car.

It does look funny with a Zuiko 28mm on the front.

Sigma is trying to fill the gap with their 12-24mm f/4.5-5.6 EX 
Aspherical DG HSM. It is actually wider than the Zuiko 11-22, although 
slower. 11-22 x 2.0 = 22-44, 12-24 x 1.6 = 19-38.
