That sounds like a nice kit. Basically, I have a 21 f3.5 (haven't tried the
f2, maybe that day will come, but I really like my 3.5 - more the 18mm is
used to have), 28mm f2 (lives on one body, low distortion and CF), 50mm 1.4,
50-250mm (sharp, 55mm filters, and smaller, lighter and better CF than my
300mm). For the moment, I think the 50mm f2 and 85mm f2 would be nice
additions. I really like shooting with 50's and go out quite a lot with
just a body and my 50mm. This lens would satisfy my macro needs (I had a
set of tubes) and give me great optics and CF.

I did have an 100mm f2.8 that I sold. I found it to be a very nice lens.
>From what I have read, the 85mm has similar optical performance to 100mm
f2.8, is smaller and a wider field of view for better portrait shots. Given
my budget, the 85mm is the choice, but I started in photography in the
mid-80s and can't get the OM ad with the 4ti and 100mm out of my head and
have never heard any regret purchasing the 100 f2. Yet? How is that for
rationalizing a purchase!

I'll throw in my two cents' worth and, for a change, be agreeable. My
"serious" prime lens kit consists of Zuikos 21/2, 35/2, 50/2, 100/2, 180/2.8
(Still pinning my hopes on the lottery for that 180/2) and the 300/4.5. It
makes a pretty totable kit that, along with two bodies with motor drives,
the 1.4X-A, an assortment of filters and other miscellaneous gadgets, fits
into a medium-size LowePro bag.

As for the 90/2, it's a strange one. It just doesn't look or act like a
real Zuiko. It's sort of the redheaded stepchild of my lens collection,
getting left behind even more often than the zooms and Tamrons -- except for
the 35-80/2.8 Zuiko and the 80-200/2.8 Tamron, of course, which nearly never
get left at home.
