Quite right, Paul. The mechanical self-timer resembles that on a N*kon FM2
more than an OM-1 or -2 (though they are all similar). The OM2000 version
is more fragile (or flimsy you might say) and, as I understand, one of the
first things apt to break. You can "tune" the OM2000 self-timer to fire in
less than 5 seconds.
