After reading all the technical details about various batteries on the list,
I have been looking closely at what I'm buying.
I found:
Dixons sell Duracell 357s in pairs for £4.00
Jessops sell 357s for £1.60 each
Farnell sell a 357 (190mAh) at £1.59 for 10+
RS sell a 357 (165mAh) at £1.50 for 22+
RS sell Duracell 357 at £5.46 for 30+
Viking sell Panasonic 357/SR44W at £1.16 each
I have now found a local supplier that sells batteries in bulk quantities.
Branded Silver Oxide 357 - capacities copied from their catalogue:
Duracell (153mAh) £1.40 each for 20+ or £3.00 for 2
Gold Peak (165mAh) £1.00 each for 10+
Varta (180mAh) £1.25 each for 10+
Judging by the capacities I assume we pay a premium for the Duracell bunny on
TV.
I got an account with this supplier and went for the Gold Peak 357s - optimum
price/capacity.
If these prices are good, I would be happy to make use of my account and post
them on at cost.
