There is a lot to see in the Western US but it takes a lot of driving as
things are really spread out. I thought the tourist traffic might slow down
with gasoline prices going up but that does not seem to be the case. Lots of
things would (will) change here if we have to pay the fuel prices Europeans

We really enjoyed our holiday in the area in 1990 (having driven an RV
up from Phoenix, stopping off at Zion and North Rim on the way), so we
must have found plenty to see. ;-)
