Not if you clamp it to the outer ring (as long as vignetting isn't an
issue). It avoids the situation where the hood gets jammed on the polarizer,
and you can't get purchase to remove it because it's on a rotating ring. A
cheap filter wrench saves this, but it's not something I want to carry
around.
