Hope I'm not too late, haven't been personally in Sardinia, but my son goes
there in May for a school study trip (he's learning Geography). He takes my
IS5000 for the trip and came back with some nice images ( btw he made more
Olympus pictures than me this year...)
I've asked him and he said that the North of the island is definitely the
best place for pictures. There is a village called Castel Sardo seated on
the top of a rock. Another nice place is the coast of Cala Gonone which is a
coast of granite rocks eroded by the sea. Another nice spot is the Grotta di
Blu Marina ( need some protection against water as they need a boat to be
visited ). There is somewhere on the extreme north coast not far from
Corsica ...a place where there is a naturally sculpted rock looking alike
"le Général De Gaulle"...but he doesn't remember the exact location.
Hope you will have a nice time and...a nice weather, when Quentin was there
he had a lot of rain and the sky was often grey...not the best light for the
sea shore...
regards
marc
