Canon cameras have  "D" after the number, Nikon cameras have a "D" in 
front of the number.

I think the D2X is going to have noise problems, from what I have 
been able to glean from comments by Rob Galbraith. His personal 
opinion is that Nikon's sticking with the DX size sensor, with such a 
small pixel pitch of 5.49 pixels, may lead to noise problems, unless 
Nikon has come up with some really good algorithms to control noise, 
much in the way Canon has done with the 20D. It's of note that Nikon 
did not use their much touted LBCAST sensor, used in the D2H, in the 
D2X. Nikon probably didn't like the comments from pros about the 
D2H's color and noise problems. Hopefully, the big N has these 
resolved on the D2X, whose sensor, it turns out, is made by Sony.
