My thoughts exactly. I bought a C*n*n 1d and cannot afford any decent AF lenses 
for it!
I recently bought Tamron MF lenses, specifically the 90mm f2.8 and 180mm f2.5. 
I had a problem with an adaptall 2 OM mount but this is now resolved and I can 
interchange these 2 lenses between OM and Canon bodies with ease. They work 
quite well.
