FoV of a 21mm lens is 92 degrees *when used on 35mm format*

Iwert is proposing to use the 21mm lens on an E1, on which the FoV will be
nowhere near 92 degrees, so the severe vignetting is not the risk foretended
in this and other posts!

Go for it Iwert!

Iwert asked
Is there something like step-down rings?
I might like to use my 21 f2 on a E-body, and use a step-down ring to 49mm +
a 40mm hood...

What you're looking for exists. See:
<http://www.camerafilters.com/pages/rings3.aspx>
However, I'm not sure you'll like the results. It will probably lead to
*severe* vignetting. The field of view of the 40mm is only 56 degrees vs.
the 21mm's 92 degrees.
