While I understand GeeBee's concerns, I subscribe fully to Walt's approach.
If I recognise someone's name on the bid list, I will act with discretion
(something like having inside information?).

And as to insurance lists, thanks for the reminder Walt, I must do a list.
The last one was stolen! But at least it was only the list, not the listed.
And it was buriend on the hard disk of the PC used to carry it away (so to
speak).  Surprising how much overlap there would be on our lists - while
there is plenty you have that I don't (and a little that I have that you
don't!)

There have been a few occasions when I have refrained from bidding on an
item because I recognized the name of a bidder as being a list member.  But
in each instance, the auction was for something I didn't REALLY have to
have.  If it had been something I REALLY wanted, it wouldn't have mattered
if my mother had been bidding.
