Because the lens is just very good and it isn't retrofocus like an SLR 
lens.
Because a rangefinder is more suited to many uses like casual street 
shooting.
Because the M3 rangefinder mechanism has never been bettered.
Because the M3 is a delight to hold; feels like it was crafted from a 
solid lump of metal.
Oh, and just because.
