Isn't this a feature of all great democratic systems???

The US voters at least have a political choice still. Australia's major
left-wing party has moved so far right, and the right-wingers so far
left, that during the recent elections over here, the 'conservatives'
were in bed with the trade unions, & the 'socialists' were talking about
welfare changes that were effectively cuts to some categories...
