First of all: Thank you all again for the valuable information !
In my opinion both cameras had different problem. In one OM PC (the
one with the erratic winder with the faulty contacts) the little
gear at the bottom of the camera where the winder is connected to it was
"stuck" half way. That means the camera was actually not spanned (this
mirror charge lever relaxed) and therefore the shutter could not released
because it was not spanned at all. It was pure mechanical, a kind of overwinding
from the faulty winder. A soft kick with the screw driver at this little
gear and wups - fixed.
The other camera (do not worry, this one I would never send in to
Camtech since I have nearly completely disassembled it and want to go further,
very fascinating this nano mechanics ! Thanks to my digital Olympus I can
document every step, very important for the reassembly.) has some more
problems. The sprocket shaft could be
broken in this one, the rewind knob it very hard to press, sometimes it
blocks completely. I will continue to think about this part.
Furthermore the circuit board could be broken indeed or one
of the switches as you pointed out earlier. To test this I first have to read
a bit more how to test the electronic circuits :->
Oh and Rob,
could you please describe a bit more detailed what is meant by broken
plastic release shaft ?
