When I read posts like this I wish I lived further North. The above
link describes a large coronal mass ejection that struck the upper
atmosphere yesterday as a result of recent large sun spots.

That wasn't FOG! ;)
Here in flyover country, the sky turned white from zenith to
northern horizon, with high intensity almost due east and west.
Then it turned to curtains, waterfalls, and search-lights. My
digital pics revealed the "white glow" was green (florescent
lighting?) and a few spots of red.
Anyway, it was an awesome show. Stay tuned--tonight is supposed
to be a repeat.
