I've seen 'new' top plates on the 'bay, and they brought more than I
expected... seems like about half what the camera usually goes for. Cost to
switch the top plates wouldn't be too much, just time if you do it, and
shouldn't take more than half an hour for a good repairman. But I'd have it
done as part of a CLA, send both bodies and have the tops switched shouldn't
be more than $5 or $10 more than the CLA otherwise would be.
