Fernando asked if the Autoconnector 3 could be modified (I assume it could,
but I don't know) and that suggests he is using a T-series flash, so I think
a PBG1 is not a good idea. As you correctly said Simon "they don't take
T-series flash units". You perhaps assumed that you could use it as a dumb
flash grip with any old flash gun, but you would be disappointed. The power
socket for the QA300/310 is the same as a T-series, but inverted. That
makes it impossible to fit a T-series flash into a PBG1 (and, as I
discovered myself) impossible to fit a QA300/310 into a PBG2.

Piers has explained: via the TTL cord. It does have a single pin.

I think the PBG1 would be ideal for Fernanado. No hacking a perfectly good
auto connector (do they have the same thread rotation anyway as the OM-1 hot
shoe?), and a nice neat sync solution with no ugly fat TTL cord dangling in
the way...
