I visited Vegas a few years ago with a work colleague, for the launch of
the ill-fated XFL League (if anyone remembers it !).  He is a Geordie,
and had great trouble getting himself understood.  Especially by me !!
I'm sure he used to throw more "Geordie-isms" into his sentences to get
a rise out of people.

The time he asked a rather attractive young lady with a clipboard where
the food that they had laid on was being served, by stating ...

"Way-eye Pet, where's the Scran ?"

Was an education in itself.  Seems attractive young American ladies are
attracted to people they can't understand ... !!
