Thanks for your comments.  In your second post (which never got to me as 
an e-mail - and neither did Jeff's for that matter), I think you 
answered my question.  You didn't notice any light drop off, so clearly 
there isn't much. The drop off with a conventional converter is obvious 
when metering. As a winter project, I am going to try to beg or borrow 
any one of the three Oly lenses and see what happens.
