Wonderful nonsense - thanks Walt.
T. Galen Hieronymous should be enough of an alarm bell in itself -
an ancient physician -
http://www.med.virginia.edu/hs-library/historical/antiqua/galen.htm, a
very peculiar and much loved medieval Dutch painter and the T out of
James T. Kirk perhaps?
Still, I learnt a great deal from the spiel -
1. The plural of quantum is quantas.
2. Potatoes have empathy - have been attempting to relate to the potato
bake I made yesterday and now I just can't bring myself to eat it. It
does indeed have more empathy than my boss tho' that's still in the
barely detectable range. Nevertheless, I think I'll take it out for
lunch instead of using it as lunch, as an apology for consuming the
best part of it yesterday.
3. The term 'eloptic' -
http://ashelf.com/wordlists/t/tsl/www/words/eloptic.html - could be
useful to us. As so many lenses are now controlled by electronics, a
contraction of 'electronic optic' could be more widely applied,
especially as it implies a 'witness'. Thus an E1 makes extensive use of
eloptics while an OM1 does not. We should start to talk about the
'energy' of the photograph.
4. Any procedure that registers something important by the sensation of
'sticky fingers' can't be all bad.
5. I have inner forces beyond the build-up of methane and CO2 caused by
that bloody 'leftovers' curry I had last night. Pulsating chi.
6. John Campbell is an important and respected scientific authority.
7. Radionics cures absolutely everything from poverty to piles,
ugliness to flatulence. It may even cure skepticism. (The 'cure-all'
claim is a certain indicator of medical fraud).

I recommend the following test -
http://chronicle.com/free/v49/i21/21b02001.htm
It fails on four of the seven - 2, 4, 6 and 7.

Best laugh I've had all holidays.
