I'll never forget when they made our graphic artists switch from Macs to PCs
just for the sake of standardization. They were in a state of mass
rebellion. I don't remember if any actually quit but they were all
threatening to do so. That was sometime in the early 90s.  /jmac

There are various flavours to the stories about the future of the Mac,
and I suppose that he had to find a different pitch to make it
interesting.  The share has been the same for ages, as I understand it,
and if Apple stopped making Macs in favour of iPods etc... someone else
would start making Macs.  The formula is much too popular for someone
not to pick it up; those who use Macs pretty well stay using Macs.  I
could not bear to have a Windoze machine at home, to use for fun.  I
enjoy using my Mac, whereas the last Intel machine I enjoyed using (a
bit anyway) ran a blue screen word processor - in 1994.
