I agree with misspellings and improper use of well and good. But these
clues certainly tip you off up front what you are dealing with. When I
see colour (sic)I immediately know how to handle what is coming next ;-)

Yes, Winsor but he then spoils the effect by misspelling "whose" (he
wrote "who's" - the shortened version of "who is"). You might, quite
reasonably, comment that punctuation is not everything. My rejoinder
would be that incorrect expression is distracting however it is
manifested and that an author whose first language is English loses
credibility (with me at least) if they cannot spell or punctuate
properly.
Which reminds me of the author Richard Bolles, whose book "What Color
(sic) is your Parachute" has apparently sold 8 million copies over the
decades. My wife bought me a copy, notwithstanding its nationality
(US), to help me change career if such a change is forced upon me in
around 18 months' time. Mr Bolles has an idiosyncratic way of using
commas; but he explains this early on and wins me over pretty well
straight away!
Apart from that, his book is interesting, and useful as a way of
formulating strategies for career change.
Back to Olympus: I really like the look of the 8080 and Richard Askey's
recommendation of the camera would bolster my continuing urge to get
one, cheap as they are now. But I cannot live with the EVF. I don't
like video cameras and the EVF reminds me of one of those ;-)
